Important to every stylist out there, styling stations are a much needed piece of beauty salon furniture. This is where the stylist will organize all of the many pieces of equipment he or she will use throughout the course of the day. Most stations will have several drawers that can be used to store styling products and brushes and other various items. Whether it is a drawer or another built in area of the styling station there will be a place to put curling irons. Different sized holes can accommodate different types of curling irons. Another common feature to find on a styling station is a source of electricity. Most will have a surge protector built in that can be used to power the numerous blow dryers and curling irons used in any given day.
Beauty salon furniture will also include a styling chair. This special type of chair is typically hydraulic which will allow the stylist to raise and lower the chair to positions that make it easier to cut and style hair. They will also swivel in a full circle so that the stylist does not have to keep circling the customer to finish their hair.
Another popular piece of beauty salon furniture is the sink and chair unit. Sinks in a beauty hair salon typically have a lower curved front that allows the customer to recline backward in the chair and rest their head in the sink. These sink and chair units can come in two pieces as well as the single unit.
One piece of beauty salon furniture that really saves the time of stylists is the dryer chair. This comfy chair has an attached dryer that fits around the entire head. Stylists can sit their customers under these dryers instead of having to apply heat to the hair themselves. Many come with timers so they automatically shut off without anyone having to monitor them.
Many beauty salons have a manicure station. This requires a special type of beauty salon furniture that allows the manicurist and the client to both sit at the table. A manicure station will typically have a built in light that can be swiveled to help illuminate the hands while the manicurist works. Several drawers should be available to store items used during a manicure.
