The Quest for the Discount Beauty Product: Where to Find Them
Tuesday, September 30th, 2008    Subscribe To Our FeedWe all want to look good and we all want to save money. Sometimes achieving these goals at the same time is much easier said than done. After all, who hasn’t been tempted by the newest rage in wrinkle creams that promises to turn back the clock on our faces for a mere $90 a month? Or the beauty care product that is supposed to tighten our buttocks as it moisturizes without a single trip to the gym? Unfortunately, when you are shopping for a discount beauty product, you have to wade through all the marketing hype to find basic products at the best price. We have a few tips that will convert you from a victim of savvy marketing to a savvy shopper in your own right.
Finding a Discount Beauty Product If there is a particular item that you simply must have because you have used the same cleanser for the past ten years and fear your face will go into shock if you stop, shopping around for a discount beauty product is your best choice. Thanks to online retail, this quest is much easier to accomplish than it used to be. Check out websites that will do the comparison shopping for you or hit a number of online stores that sell the item until you find the best price. If you must enter a physical store for your discount beauty product, make sure it is a wholesale or outlet shop that will offer the lowest prices.
Switching Gears If you are not totally devoted to a particular item, you may be able to find a discount beauty product that will provide the same results as your original item, but for a much lower price. For example, many stores will provide their own brand of a cleanser or moisturizer that will perform the same function for less. You may also be able to find products that do double duty, becoming a discount beauty product by the simple virtue that you will only have to purchase one item instead of two or three. For example, choose a moisturizer with an SPF built right into the formula. Even better; choose a tinted moisturizer with an SPF and you have eliminated the need for a sunscreen and a foundation for daily wear!
It may seem like the quest for a discount beauty product is a futile one, but that is most definitely not the case. By shopping around or switching one item for a cheaper brand, you can go far in saving on your beauty budget. Look for items that can do two or three jobs for the price of one and you are even further ahead in the game. Saving money is a beautiful thing.
