That is why many feel upset if they have baggy eyes because then they unnecessarily appear older, bleary-eyed and fatigued. These people can’t be blamed for wanting to get rid of bags under the eyes. Do you want to learn how to get rid of bags under the eyes like most people do? Of course you do, we all get them at some point in our lives.
Some people oftentimes interchange the terms puffy eyes and baggy eyes. But while they may look alike, the two conditions are different from each other. Puffy eyes are mainly the result of fluid retention. They don’t last long and compared to eye bags, they are much easier to treat. Eye bags, on the other hand, are mainly the obvious marks of aging. Eye bags form when fatty tissues surrounding the eyes start to droop. As we advance in years, the skin surrounding our eyes become less elastic; as it becomes weaker, it slowly loses its ability to hold up the fatty tissue. Getting bags under eyes is extremely frustrating as we can usually conclude that some of the signs of our body aging are now starting to show up.
You can use remedies for puffy eyes to treat baggy eyes but they only last for a brief time. Improve blood flow in the eye area by washing your face with cold water in the morning. Also try tapping softly on your lower and upper eyelids to spread out the fluids that have accumulated around the eyes.
You could also place a gel-filled eye mask (chilled teaspoons will do) over closed eyes for several minutes. Alternatively, dampen a couple of tea bags with cold water or chill them in the fridge for a few minutes before placing them over your eyes. Tea contains tannin, which helps the skin become firm, as well as reduce the swelling around the eyes. It’s also a good idea to use eye firming cream as it can keep the skin elastic and improve fluid drainage. By adding an appropriate eye cream with the best ingredients for puffy eyes, you can ensure improvement – in your looks and self-esteem.
To get rid of bags under the eyes, some people choose to have botox injections or collagen gel treatments. You get eyes that look younger and more wide awake although this is only a temporary fix.
For a lasting result to get rid of bags under the eyes, there’s surgical eyelift. Only an operationcan get rid of baggy eyes. Called blepharoplasty, the operation uses laser to reshape the upper and lower eyelids by extracting extra skin and fat deposits from the eye area.
Blepharoplasty is a more pricey option to get rid of bags under the eyes and it is not commonly paid for by insurance. The only instance when blepharoplasty will be covered by insurance is if an ophthalmologist diagnoses that your vision is severely impaired by your sagging eye bags and that the surgery is the only way it can be rectified. However, before you even consider this method to get rid of bags under your eyes, you should first consult with your physician.
